The SHIP summer weeks

Experience the Port of Amsterdam and the world's largest sea lock on Saturday, August 28! Enjoy a wonderful day out during the SHIP Summer Weeks.

This day starts at 09.00 at the Lock Port Information Point in IJmuiden. During a guided tour, you will learn all about the construction of the world's largest sea lock and the latest developments in Europe's fourth seaport: Amsterdam, Zaanstad, IJmuiden and Beverwijk. At the same time, you will be interactively informed about living, working, learning and recreation in the North Sea Canal area.

The view SHIP offers you from the second-floor restaurant or the building's rooftop is breathtaking. Ships the size of apartment buildings pass through the lock complex daily, and the construction work on Zeesluis IJmuiden takes place literally within walking distance of the building. You have until 10:30 a.m. to visit SHIP. At 10:30 am a luxury coach will be waiting for you which will take you to Amsterdam.

Around 11:15 we will arrive at the Maritime Museum which you can visit optionally (we offer tickets to the Maritime Museum with 50% discount, if you want to take advantage of this please send us an email)

From 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., you will have time to visit Amsterdam on your own.

At 2:45 p.m., our ship will be ready behind Central Station for departure (3 p.m.) to IJmuiden.
