Our ships are ideal for a wedding ceremony. This is possible with a group of up to 25 people on the Stan Huygens. If you have several guests, with a maximum of 140, the River Dream offers a solution.
If you want to give each other the yes-word, this can be done on board. A marriage has traditionally been a public occasion where legal objection can and may be lodged by anyone. That is why it is important that the ship is moored on public Amsterdam territory. You can propose this location yourself in consultation with the Municipality and Amsterdam Boat Cruises. The Civil Registry officer and his messenger will come on board at the agreed location and carry out the ceremony together with you and your loved ones. After you have been married before the law, the party can begin. You can of course choose to continue the other festivities ashore, but this is of course not necessary. What could be nicer to spend all day on the water with your loved ones and celebrate their happiness together. As soon as the officer and messenger are off board, the mooring lines can really be released.
